The stories of Scintilliarium are in no way dead! I’m getting my feet wet by upgrading the look and feel of the site. I’ve been playing with the multi-page thing, and so now each page should be easier to navigate. I’ve tweaked the theme a bit too and next on the list is better titles when you search for the pages. The big holdup, although my IF game was my main project for a while, really has been doing a character sketch of Sarah in Lonely Planets. I found the most detailed character sheet EVER and so I’ve been filling it out. I’ve learned a lot about her (which seems strange given that I’m the author, but hey) and I didn’t want to actually continue until I was sure that I knew her. So yeah. Look for something this month, and hopefully in small sizes, so I can update more often.

Today WebFictionGuide decided to ban me (or at least that’s what I’m 99% sure of). I’ve been hesitant to go off on webfic “communities”, but once you get banned, it loosens the tongue. You feel like you have nothing left to lose, and I really don’t.

Frankly, I’ve had enough of people posting general comments with links back to whatever they’re trying to hawk. You will now have to officially take it somewhere else.

I am still writing. Looks like that chapter every week thing didn’t pan out. Sigh. The latest installment of SEIA (Summer Ends in August) is taking a long time, mostly because a lot happens, and so I have to do a lot of imaginative work to do.

I’m going to keep plowing through and get things back to a more reasonable schedule. It will be worth your wait — I promise.

I realized that I’ve put out two chapters in a month. Just two. That’s sad. I’ve also noticed that they are 3000 + words, which I guess when you look at from that perspective, isn’t terrible. 6000 words a month? What’s that, 20 pages? Ok, now we’re back down to sad land. Ack. I guess there’s no camouflaging the fact that I need to ramp up the output, especially if I’m ever going to get around to the other series that are in the pipe. So what’s the goal? One chapter a week. We’ll see if I can do it.

Welcome to an omnium-gatherum for serial fiction; at the start, it will be mine, but I’m open to having others participate as well.
